custom work

I've been building all sorts of things for years, but I especially love making music related stuff. Mass-produced instruments, amplifiers, accessories and effects are so boring. I've created my own fuzz pedals, function generator pedal (to make strange noises onstage), audiophile speakers, and electro-theremins. Therevox started because I had so many requests to build electro-theremins that I decided to make them publicly available.

If you have an idea for anything that you can't find mass-produced, please contact me and we'll talk about what you want. Anything from body-worn electrical musical instruments to custom speaker cabinets, to pedal board bypass switches to guitar effects pedals. Or even special features on an existing Therevox product, I'd definately be interested in it. If I build what you want, it will be given a Therevox model number and then added to this website for others to purchase as well. Credit will be given to you for the idea, and you will get the first one!

Obviously I can't put a set-price on any custom-work, but it will simply come down to parts and labour. If you have an idea and I think I can build it, then I will quote you a price once I've estimated the labour involved and investigated the materials cost. The price I charge you for the product will be the price for the product once it gets added to the Therevox catalogue.
